If I don't end up doing the manfield thing - would be nice to watch some bike racing after going to the V8's on Saturday. For some reason I prefer the bikes...

What time you leaving Danniverke? I can check in here in the AM and let you know for sure what I'm up to.

Another idea is we could just pick them up at Vinegar hill, that's a thought too, just depends on how bigger day you want to make it.

The cheapest part of the mini ride is the entry fee and accomodation, the actual part of gear required(top boxs),servicing etc required to do the trip is the expense, but a bloody good ride i'll bet.

Yeah, they're not cheap these Rusty rides, but are great fun. Add in ferry tickets, 5-6,000km worth of fuel, accomodation & tucker, servicing & tyres and you're generally looking at around the 2 grand+ mark! Generally only the Southern X is on this scale and it's only every 2nd year but the Mini's Return is something a bit special and would be a shame to miss out - really looking forward to it. GC in October & Southern X next year too...

As they say lifes too short.Had a mate put new tyres on his bike to do the southern x last year, came home and needed to replace them after another 1000km.Still if ya going to do those type of rides the ST,FJR,Concours type are ideal.

Well, considering forecasts and wot not I decided my time might be better spent giving the bike a birthday so I washed it last night and i've spent the last couple of hours shining it up with the trusty Turtle wax ICE and it's looking sweet ready for maybe a friday night ride with any luck, got to do these friday nighters as daylight savings is coming to a close......Along with summer
