Nice photo. Hope the "fast guys" didn't put you off coming along next time! I think Mrs El Stevo enjoyed having someone to ride with for a change!

OK thanks El Stevo. Maybe you just have to hold a motobike licence of some kind cos when Phoenix brought the ZX6R (from a dealer) he only had his restricted. It is jointly owned by me also who didnt have a licence at the time, but maybe it didnt matter cos he did......

?? Could be suffering memory loss, bit I'm pretty sure that I had the GN registered in my name about a week before I got my learners licence. In fact I learnt to ride on it (off road of course ) well enough to do the basic riding skills course ~ a friend had to pick it up from the shop for me though, as I wasn't allowed to ride it home.

Maybe it depends on who sells it.

I had to show my license when I transfered ownership to me for my bike. I understood that the previous owner couldn't transfer ownership since he had his license taken off him for doing 120 km/h racing on Moorhouse.
Sparrow1982 apparently had some trouble getting him to transfer the ownership because of that.
But hey, noone ever said the NZ bureaucrazy was consistent - just dense.

To be quite frank - I think that's the way it should be... That you couldn't transfer ownership of a road registered vehicle you're not allowed to operate to your private person.
Besides, with no license there's no way you could get insurance either... pretty irresponsible.

And you could get your L tomorrow - it's a bloody scratch test if you have your BHS sorted. The BHS is quite quickly handled as well.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

I think for future outings I will adopt the role of T.E.C. by default among this company. Plus, anyone wishing to check the calibration of their speedo's at the open road speed limit feel free to use the Burgman as a yardstick. Apologies if I held anyone up!

Thanks to all for the awesome ride over the hill. Took me awhile to gell with the bike again as its been some weeks since I last rode her. But once I hit the hill it was all on till MR R1 came screeming past me to make me look as if I was standing still. All good. On the way home I gave it my best with Mr R1 behind me up the hill to we hit the hill top cafe were he did it again but this time on one wheelme. One day I will beable to ride that good. Stop at little river an he said I was going well up the hill, just alittle slow in places for his likely. Nice.
Anyway great run, awesome poeple, good roads and very warm weather. (apart from the wind) The ride home in the moon light was way cool to, had good affect. Spot ya all next week.

You need a Motorbike License to get insurance for your bike.

You can buy one if you pay cash or have a loan that is not attached to the bike.(because they will want you to have insurance on it for the loan)
But of course, with out any insurance on it.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

Gotta agree with that. As well as the road to Diamond Harbour, I always have fun riding them. Thing is, some of the guys here have ridden those routes every other week and want a bit of variety. Me, I'd be happy riding those routes anyway, but yeah, others want the variety.
