    After-dinner ride (bubs.65)

I am an L Plate rider and have been riding for just over a month now. I live in Miramar and ride to work every day to the city but am finding that that isn't enough to get my 'fix' so I have been going after dinner as well. As my friends who ride live out of the city I've been going on my own and am now sick of my own company. I'm hoping there might be another L Plate rider who either lives out this way or even in Welly who might want to spontaneously go for a ride sometime after dinner. I did turn up to the Wednesday night ride last week but due to trying to get across town in peak traffic got there just as everyone was leaving so didn't get to meet anyone. I'm not quite ready to fly over the Rimutakas at 100kph (oops, make that 70kph) but have done a ride to New Plymouth and several to the Kapiti coast.

    Welcome aboard the site.
Give the Wed nite ride another go - there were 4 or 5 L platers there last week. You can ride at your own speed, there is usually a tail-end-charlie to keep keep an eye on ya, and they stop and regroup at set points.
If you post in the TCWNR thread that you are coming someone could wait for you if you were going to be a bit late.
Experience......something you get just after you needed it

Thanks for the welcome! Shiny is right but I'm hoping the novelty of polishing the bike after every ride wears off soon!!
