    Police U-turn amusement again

Ill considered U-turn to catch a speeding biker - car behind crunches into him.

I trust the police car driver will be prosecuted. Or will they try to blame it on the guy who was following?

Methinks the police should get their heads out their asses and start getting a procedure in place for initiating pursuit. (Or get a new one as the current doesn't work very well!)

My money is on the fact that nothing is going to happen!

    I know what happened here.

The cop was sitting quietly in his car surfing Kiwi Biker. He had just finished reading past threads about U-turning HP officers and about whether *lifesavers* and *head-checks* were indeed the same thing.

He then did a very public-spirited thing and decided to take affirmative action to unite both strands of thought in order to make life easier for Kiwi Biker readers and Moderators alike.

Yet-to-be-named Officer, you are a Prince, and forever in the debt of our readers.

If you're going to get busted for breaking one law, why not go for the jackpot?

I'll assume that the biker 'got away' ?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I notice an increase of this type of incident since the latest model Commodore has appeared on the scene....I beleive there is a link

However having said that it's still the drivers responsibility to check PROPERLY before doing a U-turn.

i think the cops should be driving hondas that might fix the problem!

Isn't there some statistic about it having a blind spot larger than most 4x4's? Something like 44 metres (can't quite remember) ... This was produced when young children playing in driveways, were getting run over by parents!!!

Answer - blind spot mirrors (or cheaper cars without blind spots to free up more money to pay coppers)

Hmmm, are you at work right now? I'd be more concerned about that mate - if your boss was wanting to do you in that is.
