Hello officer put it on my tab
Don't steal the government hates competition.
Returning from Hamilton to Auckland saw a police car (Latest model Commodore) do a dodgy u turn at Ngaruawahia yesterday. We both rubbernecked to see if the lights went on, but they didn't. My point is that the way the turn was carried out, no indication and cars behind brake lights and looked like the same for the traffic comming the other way. Public are starting to get critical over you guy's habits. You have got to get your union involved to stand up to those, who reap the benefits of your actions. I reckon it's getting to the stage where the worm will turn.
I don't fancy turning up in the situation of the poor prick on TV who got so frustrated with tagging that he took the law into his own hands and has now f.cked his life and that of his families and the original offender has the sympathy of the public. It's not a you and us situation its the friggin bean counters and PC brigade hiding behind the accountability fasade
. Rant over see you at the next KB'r Sth Island do.
Cops shouldn't even bother to chase after bikers, period.![]()
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

What the police need is a tank. No more U turns all they need to do is turrett 180 degree and shoot the munter off the road. Bloody hell they dont even need to slow down while they are at it.

It is a 100K zone where the passing lanes are - well out of the 70 zone.
Yes, it is legal. Yellow centre lines only prohibit overtaking moving vehicles unless it can be done without crossing said yellow line, where said yellow line is on your side of the centre line (there are exceptions involving non-motorised vehicles).
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.
Double yellows were mentioned. That suggests that there is a visibility problem in both directions at that point. Whilst it may not be illegal to turn across those lines, it could hardly be considered advisable. Especially dodgy to actually lie in wait where such lines exist.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

No argument there. Just because something is legal, it doesn't necessarily make it OK.

A Subaru Justy has plenty of rear vision, and they're economical.
The cops could set an example for us all...increase your vision, reduce your carbon footprint.
