Project "7 day" sports production zx6r

I thought id put this thread up if anyone is interested in a look but also to get any advice anyone is happy to share and to let everyone know how to go about organising a race bike and who to see to get stuff done! (im no expert so take everything i say with a grain of salt!)

I have been wanting to upgrade my 600 for a while but never gave it that much thought till i saw the damaged 07 zx6r on trade me, im sure you all saw it and 1 kiwibiker nearly beat me on the auction so any way the goal is to build up this bike for less then retail price on a new one and race it at the last round of the nationals and NZ TT in just over 7 days!

I won the auction weds afternoon, first thing today (thurs) i went and picked up the bike figured out roughly what i needed and called MR Motorcycles and ordered a couple of little brackets etc the second call was to speed-tech in hamilton to order some trick bits like suspension exhaust etc. I pulled all the broken gear off it chucked on some rearsets and took it for a blast and so far im extremely happy!

If there is any parts anyone is interested in the parts in the picture just let me know cheers

You could wire a shift light up using the wiring diagrams I sent you last night.
It's do-able. I built Chris's number 2 bike in 5 days after he wrote a silver ZX6r off on new years day, and had to buy another one.
Give me a yell if you need me to pop down and give you a hand.

hey mate, the Vaypor idea is a good one, I was running mine as my dash for a while, its has everything you need. the only problem being it is a data logger as well, which as far as I know you cannot have on your bike for Nationals racing in NZ

Not totally sure but I think that you may not be eligible to race if you don't have the stock tacho unit fitted anyway??
