Having watched a-certain-person-who-is-very-special-to-me come off the track sweating, aching, pumped with adrenalin, thirsty, grumpy, estatic, and miserable all the same time, I've experienced the helplessness I'm sure many partners feel. We just want to be able to make your day a bit more comfortable, but sometimes it's hard to know exactly what to do.
What is the best thing to do? What should we take with us? The answers will vary immeasurably from person to person, but give us some examples?
For instance, what would be in your "kit" - ice packs, sports drinks, towels, lollies, smokes, eye cream, Evian mist, Heineken? What's one thing you just wish you had at the track but keep forgetting to pack?
And what is your idea of bliss at the end of a race? Someone helping you out of your leathers and waiting on you hand on foot? Or someone just leaving you alone to process the experience out on the track? A combination of both?
