Talking Extra Groovy 250 CORO Loop 15/03/08

Ride Is mainly aimed at 250 riders, but if fasties want to tag along with the snails you are more than welcome to do so

This is going to be a bit untraditional CORO Loop ride - i.e. EXTRA GROOVY.

At the end of the last coro loop we did the whole loop but the last bit of the ride was mainly straight road, so I want to avoid that.

    THE IDEA:
Leaving Shell Westgate in the morning, Going trough Bp Autobahn to meet whoever wants to meet there, then in Kopu to meet Southern riders. Starting the loop clockwide from Kopu, and and going until we reach Coroglen. Having tasty lunch at Coroglen Tavern and going back the same way we came (i.e. Anti-clockwise) - so we get to do all the twisty bits twice in one day. On the way back after we pass Kopu, we go trough Miranda Rd and onto doing the road around trough Kaiawa and Kawakawa Bay and eventually ending up in papakura and from there we hit the motorway home.

    THE PLAN:

Meeting Shell Westgate at 8:15 - leaving by 8:45.
Meeting others in Bp Autobahn at about 9:00ish and leaving BP Autobahn at 9:20 at Latest.
Meeting Last group at Kopu at 10 ish , leaving KOPU about 10:20 or MAX 10:30.
Fuel stops will be decided on the day.
Stop at Whitianga for fuel and ordering food at Coroglen Tavern on the phone to avoid/minimise waiting time.
Have tasty Lunch at Coroglen Tavern, and hit the road back the same way.
Going trough Miranda Rd, Kaiawa, Kawakawa bay and heading Home.

    RESOURSES:
    Calling for vollunteers for TEC.
Website of Coroglen tavern ---> www.coroglentavern.com Please review the menu and know what you are going to have ordered by the time we get to Whitianga. I take up on calling the place and placing the orders.
I will carry a tyre puncture repair kit. If someone can bring a first aid kit just in case please do so.
I have a spare Hi-Visibility thingy for the TEC - if you don't want it thats fine with me.

How is your bike going EJ? Any closer to be sorted?

And I just found some cash.. but i'll be going to Tauranga on Saturday. I'll follow you guys down to Kopu perhaps? Then just bolt the rest on me own.
