The dealer in question I have since discovered after talking to a couple of other dealers in Nelson is noted as being the worst case senario. Poor sevice, lack of parts on hand for road bikes and total disregard for repeat customers. But thats another story.....im not the only person in this town (or Nelson) to have nothing nice to say about the guy.
An independant mechanic has since been able to provide me more info etc and point me in the right direction....as well as looking after our club members.
Thanks to those guys from KB who have also helped me out by providing me with micro-fich and manuals on CD. Very informative.
And being the net each to their own

PS...I wasn't after the parts at the time..I was after a price for parts...which he couldn't do...or more simply couldn't be bothered going to the hassel of finding out.

After an e-mail sent off to Oz it appears this bike was imported into oz in numbers. They have parts on the shelf for it and those they don't have can be gotten from Japan with a 2-3 week turn around (due to customs etc.) from order to landed on my door step. They were also able to confirm the manual I have on CD...which is in japanese... is the correct one...and they have an english version....so we are on the same page..so to speak. Very helpful and only took them 3 hours to get back to me from the time I sent the email till they contacted me back with the prices etc. I will be using these guys again.
I have contacted the local dealer and asked if he managed to get intouch with kawasaki NZ about the prices I asked him for over a month ago. He said no he forgot. needless to say I won't be going back to him....

So in a few weeks once I get back to work there will be a new cam chain...guides....and eventually brand new front disc's arriving. It'll be just like xmas!!!
