Fuck, Fuck, Fuck. Coming home from a great ride with Cowboyz and Sarah as pillion, hit a rabbit 2 kms from home. Turned around to check on it, very dark, misjudged the camber and dropped the bike. The indicator has punched a hole in the fairing, engine case scored, gear lever, clutch bent, footpegs scraped, minor but really gutting. Rabbit OK, it got a pillion ride down Sarah's jacket and is in garage now. I wonder if it has a credit card.

I'm gutted Jonno, but it's fixable. May just take time for a new fairing. It would have to be the good side too!

Yeah, it's just so the wrong time for it too. It'll take weeks to get it repaired. Oh well, it could have been much worse.

Mmmm rabbit tasty, talk about the easter bunny.

Go on fix the bunny and let it loose, maybe the dogs, cats will get revenge.p/t.

Shit what a piss off,and those little critters can cause problems dodging them and hitting the dirt,or running over them and losing the front.

Going through the Lindas pass area last Monday thought wtf is that ahead, was a dead sheep on the road edge,a truck(hopefully)made a mess of it,if it was a car major damage would've been done,no skid marks so assume it was a truck at night, scary thought with stock at night.

after the rally & a lack of sleep over the last few days I am damn glad I took today off ..

on a good note Betsy's surgery yesterday was a success gear lever was only held on by the rubber boot, the seal has been replaced so that should stop the oil over the back wheel situation - just a warrent & rego to go

Bloody marvelous ride wasn't it!!! I so wish we'd had the camera over the track on the way over And nothing like a good night ride to top it off. Yep, I'm shagged too but it all seems a bit better in the light of day. I'll get onto the insurance today I'll bodge up the bike later and we can go for that other little cruise if you're keen

Darn right on the critters. Hit a magpie just up the road on friday night too. Went past this morning and saw it dead. The rabbit was sprinting along the side of the road and with typical rabbit timing did a hard right and straight under the fairing, hence it's survival. It seems ok this morning and Sarah will give it the once over today. It's lucky it was hit by a bike with a vet on the back eh!

Tell me about it! Bummer dude, gotta look on the bright side as you say it could have been worse, you or Sarah might have gotten hurt.....I am assuming since there is nothing said to the contrary the you guys are ok? Bits on bikes and bikes themselves are replaceable. Look at it this way, of you have a get off and you walk away from it you had a really awesome day...

Thanks guys It could have been worse, say if we'd hit it on a corner or it had unbalanced us at speed. Yep, we're OK, I did a bit of a kung fu roll down the hill but was more worried about the crunch I heard as the bike hit the ground. Scraped the back of my helmet a bit but nothing to speak of. Sarah just fell over, she's fine too.

Getting it into ANZA tomorrow for the assessment and I'll bodge it up later. Watch this space for a 'new arrival' soon
