    Lane splitting race anyone...?

    I've mastered lane-splitting at 90ks

I reckon it could add to the fun haha.

Okay so I'm all packed up. I'll bringing these tools so if it's not there bring it guys, just in case badgers engine falls out or something needs tightening. One adjustable wrench, ratchet with extension and 10 12 14 mm sockets and a sprk plug socket. Full metric allen key sets and a full phillips screwdriver head set with mini torque driver. Also will be bringing two spare spark plugs. Sounds like a lot but doesn't weigh much lol. As for lane splitting, um I'm not much of a fan of lane splitting so can we try not too haha, cruise and enjoy. The RG will be loaded. Splitting at 90ks will result in me not doing it and giving anyone who does a big boot up the arse when I catch up, except isaac cos he would smash me then hijack the rg, then I would be left to ride the ghey honda 900 haha jokes. Oh ill be at shell for eight cos i've never been there and might get lost on the way haha.

Easy as to find mate, go to the end of the south-western, turn left, go 100m down the road, DONE!
On a positive, i think i found and stopped the oil leak, but we shall see. Got a bulb and replaced the headlamp, so much better even in the daytime
Saddlebags are on, and i fitted the jerrycan in nicely. Havent packed anything else yet tho! I'll have a 21/22mm spanner, a shifter, 10, 12, and 17mm sockets + wrench and extension, 10mm ring spanner, little toolkit with range of screwies and sockets with a ratchet ring-spanner.
Better shove some clothes and drinkies in the saddlebags and head to bed soon i reckon, only got 4h sleep this morning!

Catch you fellas at westgate a bit after 8

Well Ragingrob and i were going to accompany you guys up to dargaville and maybe a little beyond, but we have decided against it due to the expected traffic congestion.

Instead we have decided to go for a ride on sunday to dargaville and maybe further. We were thinking of organising a meeting point with you guys as you head back depending on what time you guys are leaving whangarei etc.

Have fun guys, and as always, ride safe.

I'll be there at 8, keen to get some maccas before we go..

Batteries still buggered, probably worse. But I can bump start it by myself on flats! Yus! So I should be alright, i'll just be a little more knackered at the pub each night..

So if I don't turn my engine off, don't bitch..

And I was kidding about high speed lane splitting, we'll be alright just using our biker advantage to get into small gaps. Or we can just sit in one big group going 20k's up to the motorway! woo!

It's gonna be wicked, yet to pack.. but i'm eating chicken! That's gotta be good for something.

I probably wont be lane-splitting so if anyone else isn't keen then they can keep me company

I have No. 8 wire, pliers, string and a spanner as my extra tools (can't go wrong with No.8 wire!). So I'm just about sorted, might just top-up the oil level to be safe and just filled up the tank with gas.

Tonight is going to suck sleep wise...

Yup, installed the pack rack, got the back pack fitted on, bumbled in a few tools and what not, just sorting myself out for the sunday.

Any ideas what time abouts we'll be back in Auckland? (Early after-noon? Late evening?) Would be really helpful..

I'm all ready too. Packed, bike had a service today - full tank, lubed chain , shiny fairings

I'm bringing duct tape ! And Muesli Bars.

me and Seamus81 will be coming just before 8.

i'm a huge fan of lane splitting in slow traffic but undoubtably we will wait for anyone behind us on the turn off having a chat

I'd say early afternoon if all goes good - we only got 250km to do on sunday - and thats the long way.
