We're gutted, needless to say.
Regardless of our 30odd year age-gap, we all got along superb!
His was a youthful spirit, with a contagious enthusiasm.
He was already planning his trip back next year, his 4th; he was going to rail & cycle around NZ this time. Crazy. (in a nice way).

the trout flies aren't usually that bad jake... must admit, there was loads of 'em all deaded on kitchen bench this morning...

or mebbe it was the Rikkity One (ie, Korn) swatting 'em during the night...
