I know what you're saying, and yes, have heard it from that type of person and they have unfortunately turned out to be famous last words. I'm not going to try to explain m'self to your whole post - I know what I've meant even if it maybe comes across a little differently - but suffice to say, I know what you're getting at. I'm no rebellious teenager, quite glad I'm past that part, actually. Insurance companies treat you better when you're older!

Make sure you post it up here, I'm always keen for something extra, and lord knows I can use the pointers!!!

Missus: What the f*&k is that???!!!! Where the f*&k do you think that's going??
Me: It's a [insert old broken vehicle here] can't you tell?
Missus: Oh for f*&k's sake... [slams door]
Me: Phew, lucky she didn't see what's on the trailer!

So never think I'm trying to shoot you down, I've got your best interests at heart
Believe me, it's very much appreciated. You did heaps of work on the little old NZ for me... all I did was hold stuff and try to be useful. I'd have been a bit stuck without ya - I had no idea what I was doing! You'll be happy to know that I've given the brakes a good going over on the ZX-6R (credit to phoenix for showing me how it's done though) - they weren't in a very good way when I got it, but nice new pads all 'round, and nicely bled lines all 'round with new fluid... 50 times better. It sure is a shame you've got such a busy schedule - I'd like to be able to call on your Kwaka carb expertise too, but I realise you're a busy man

I'd like to be able to ride with you as well, continue to learn stuff - and have you less bored now that my bike's not so teensy any more - but yeah, with you being busy and stuff, well, I'm doing me best trying to make sure I keep on learning stuff anyway.

I kind of thought the invite would get buried by the weekend.
I will possibly go again tomorrow, depends how the day at work progresses, or what time I get away.
Weather forecast looks good for tomorrow, maybe a little cooler but nice otherwise.

It will be in due course

And it'll well within the capabilities of the smaller bikes and less experienced riders and those who do come along on it will have an enjoyable time and come away having learnt a few things.

done the majority of the south island many years ago on a XT250 including rallies etc and also did a 1000km trip to Huntly on XL250 so know exactly what smaller bikes are capable of achieving.

you should have been peering over my shoulder when the ZXR was in a million bits
doing bits on the NZ wasn't a problem, most of it was fairly straight forward and you learnt a bit or two I hope

The carbs on the ZX will be a piece of piss, just have to see exactly what it's doing and we'll get it sharp for you.

Never bored bud, just the old ZXR is a down right pigmy-fark when it's playing docile
having two muppets here to keep an eye doesn't make life easy

I had just finished stripping the fuel system down after a repair job to the carb inlet "gasket" (if you can call it that.....) fuel lines and various bolts and thought I'd go for a quick blat to check all was well... 10 minutes from home, out on Johns Road and WHAM... nailed something fierce by the rain!!! And greasy-as-a-pig-at-a-Cletus-family-reunion roads were something nasty!!

Never had the stepout on the lines, or for that fact the whole road before!! I was a very slow, very wet boy by the time I got home!!

Dr-Jekyll, come on down to BK, there is a ride, just not definite where! And that is half the fun! Better polish that chrome first tho... don't wanna get all rusty from the rain!! (pt)
