    First scratch ARGH

    *grumble*grumble*grumble*

Just went to fill up the bike and when i was finished left my helmet on my bike and went in to pay as i've done a million times before.

I see another biker roll up as I walk in only to see him park behind me.
Right about this point a little voice in my head says "he's going to try squeeze past your bike to reach the pump"

Thinking nothing more of it I look over at my pump as i'm about to pay to him him knock my helmet off my bike and onto his foot...

    fucken grumble.

Brand new helmet and now has some nice little scratches.

Worst thing is if he had waited 10 seconds two pumps would have opened up.

that will teach you for putting your helmet in a silly place!!!!!

    if you had

    1. left it on your head
    2. put it on the ground
    3. kept a hold of it

there would not be any scraches....

    what a ride so far!!!!

I was taught years ago that you never leave your helmet anywhere except the ground...cos it can't fall off the ground. And that once a helmet is dropped you should get a new one......

My question is why the fuck he had to use the pump that my bike was at.
I don't know about you guys but I just wait until a pump frees up, not like you have to wait long before one frees up.

Time for a new lid, bud. Hope you had a good go at him.

I wont put mine on the ground. The ground at a gas station is covered in petrol and God knows what else.

I tend to carry it, or put it on top of the pump.

I dont take my helmet off at all when filling up. Open the visor up, but that's it.

Im always prepared for the "you must take your helmet off" speech, but it's yet to happen (and Ive filled my bike probably 100+ times)

(and no, I wouldnt try it at a bank!)
...and I don't wanna die, just want to ride my motorcy...cle (Arlo Guthrie)
