kiwi bikers make good at motott

    Another AWSOME day thanks everyone
Special thanks to my Kiwi Biker marshells Goblin and Fireball... so capable and reliable.

The whole day went well cos you guys rode with the right attitude (most people did anyway!) It was huge fun to watch you out there. The Big Boys in Group One (Very Fast AND Motard Group) made the hair on the back of my neck prickle with the roar of them down pit lane straight
Yesterday was our biggest and best day yet! The Ambo wasn't used
Lovely to see Boomer #2 Son,
and DMNTD (trial adoption papers on their way)
Yamaha4Life hope you got home OK.
Quazi Bret and Paula... thanks for your support with gear and prizes
Look forward to seeing you all at the next one

    Thanks Sue

    Blah

First off thanks to MotoTT for putting on such an awesome day...again

Personally I had an great time but my bubble got slightly burst in the second session after loosing both the front and rear on the MV within 200m(ok I was apparently riding a bit harder than "normal") so I was more than happy to go out there and pootle about being camera boy instead.
Loads of fun with the Tga Poseur Crew

I didn't have the best day this time. I rode down on thursday after work with duckaddict. Didn't sleep well, woke up with a bit of a sore neck/headache but that cleared up after a couple of panadol.
First session I didn't feel like I was riding well, but that's to be expected for the first session (for me at least). 2nd session I must have been pushing a bit too hard too soon (it was on lap 3) and lowsided on turn 3:

The leathers held together well, there was a big scrape on the back that went right through the first layer of leather in one place (about a 20c size hole), and a couple of other small holes. The bike held together well too. Just a couple of weeks ago I'd modified the LH engine cover, put a 3mm aluminium cover onto it with durafix and was pleased to see it hadn't worn through in the crash (I'm sure a stock one would have). The bar end, crash bung, centrestand and LH rear indicator had all been worn in the slide, but the only thing stopping me from continuing the session was the gear change push rod had broken. Aero165 and Meekey_Mouse saved my day by having a spare push rod from an RG150 that fit (thanks!) so I didn't miss any sessions.
The rest of the day went well, no more mishaps, but I still wasn't riding as well as I have in the past, I only started to feel like I was 'getting in the groove' in the last session. I think more open road rides working up to the trackday and a better night's sleep would've helped.

Here's the last session in two parts:

Nice wheelie by kiwifruit (I think) at 5:05 in the 2nd video.

Thanks to MotoTT for organising the trackday.

I'm looking forward to the next one.

Sorry to see you binned Erik - but that bike of yours just keeps coming back...just like you! Good on ya!

Thanks MotoTT for another superbly run trackday.

Special thanks to Shaun Harris for re-setting my suspension settings. No chatter and miminal pitch under braking by the third session. Felt like I was on a different bike on the way home. Thanks bro.

Welcome dude, Hope the ride home was better for you as well? Standard suspension can be set better than it comes from the factory, as this again shows.
