Thanks Guys & Gals for the great company and fun ride up to Puketitiri
see you all next time. Yep Dooly those Triumphs are starting to look
really cool.
If your ship doen't come in, swim out to it.
Yep, can't go wrong with a Triumph mate.
(or a Ducati/R1/Gixxer etc, cover my bases....)
Have you been looking at a Sprint Dave?
Little birdy told me today a chap fitting your description was at Procycles this week........
And from what you told me on Saturday.
Gerald, our local Triumph RAT group leader who is running the shop part of Procycles now said today that he is going to let his new Sprint be used for a demo if you or anyone is interested.
Went to that thing at Anderson park today. Met up with the Palmy and HB Triumph group at Breakers thi morning for brekky then headed down to the display.
Quite a few bikes, must of been over 100.
Seemed to be mainly Triumphs/Harleys and cruisers, not as many Jap stuff as I would of thought.
They were having a mass ride/drive thru Napier then out the back a bit led by a bike cop, so all legal speeds.
Our Triumph group decided it was too hot and we needed a beer so went to the Puketap well before the ride left, and waited for them to come past, which when they did, half of the bikers got a sudden thirst and stopped, so the place was over flowing with bikes......was awesome.
The amount of Harley riders wearing bogus German helmets nowdays is just so.........70s!!!
Not even chromed like the old days!
Finally got a chance to go for a decent squirt ,Bay View , out the back way to Patangata then over to Tikokino and oh no ,We find the local establishment is no longer quenching thirsts .Then a poor fellow on Ducati SS900 with a buggered fuse so the trusty smoke packet comes to the rescue the off to the little cafe at Maraekakaho and there,s a kiddies b/day party so no coffee .So its off around Twyford " Quickly " he he , arrive home and am greeted by a frown . Oh well at least i had a good time , how selfish of me .
Remember it is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt .???
The Tiko pub is an accommodation venue for Tongan fruit pickers now.
I see them all hanging off the balconey when I go for blats down that way.
Plus the guy you saw on the Ducati was probably my neighbour who broke down there on Sunday and spent time with them waiting for a trailer to arrive.
They fed him and wanted to load him up with kava!
Its a good road for a ride around there.
Hey dooly , so my bloody ciggy paper didnt do the trick thats a bummer he seemed pretty sure it was only a fuse . Dont show those fruit pickers your homepage mate or they will be leaving the tiko en mass and moving to Maraekakaho and setting up camp at the monumant to worship you .

Hi all you HB bikers. I'll be coming over to Napier the weekend of 19 - 20 April and wonder if any rides are on or if there is a meeting place you hang out at?

Don't ever argue with an idiot.... they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Thanks man. Will be good to catch up with some HB KB'ers.
Saturday or Sunday?
If its Saturday I'll be a bit worn from the ride over from Masterton that morning but will make it unless the weather craps out. I'll see if any of the Manawatu crowd wants to join me, and a couple of friends from Masterton if they are crazy enough.
Will you be on your Katana 400?

His bike is always breaking down.
Always electrical, and stuff that has been problematic for a while. He had problems before he went on the ride and thought it was fixed, yet again.
He said 28 Tongans live in the Tiko pub!
They gave him a hand to manhandle the bike on the trailer.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
