Just ordered one tooth smaller front sprocket for the bike to go along with the higher profile rear tyre in the hopes that it will keep the gearing about the same, then when I go back too the original profile rear tyre i'll have to think about a speedo healer.
Apparently one of the best, not to mention cheapest mods you can do to my bike is drop a tooth on the front.

Yeah, by all accounts it's supposed to make a reasonable difference but ofcourse I probably won't notice any difference at all until I go back to the original profile tyre, depending on how long this Continental Race attack takes to wear out....that'll be interesting too.

-1 on front should save some tyre wear on the front tyre...........

What kind of difference did it make to your open road cruising revs and how far did it put your speedo out?

So on my bike standard gearing doing 100kmph i are doing 4334 rpm. Go -1 on the front and the speed comes down to 94kmph. Doing 100kmph the revs go to 4605rpm. Standard sprockets are 17/45 and i changed to 16/45

And cowboyz is right. For a change. Did two track days and still had the chicken strips down the middle of the front tyre. Nothing on the sides.
