They sold Brit bikes had a oily wooden floor and you had to walk up a ramp.
Eric Woods is now on their on site.

hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa... man your explaination of Whitings is so accurate, how come back then it was on the shelf but these days its X Japan.
I dont remember Tommys being zookie but then again you left in 78, I was 10... yet 7yrs later nothing had changed at Whitings... I love it.

I remember going in to Whitings one day to get a clutch cable for my SL125. They let me go upstairs (I think it was) and rifle through boxes of cables until I found the right one. I remember the white lab coat as well.
Not Bond and Hockley and there was another shop as well Blair Carpenter Motor Cycles or were they the same with different owners.
I thought the shop next to Eric Woods was Rex Russell's and then moved or closed down that shop and went back to a engineering shop that worked on bikes.

BTW... Hampton motor companys new dealership is Honda, MG and Aparila is history.
So yeah the return of HORNBY HONDA has arived.
