Let us know when you're down, Tuesday or Friday, we'll go to the track. Then at least you'll have a license to ride home with.

Yeah mint, i would try be in town for a good few days but i would not be pushing it on the track either as i would be on a bike that i cant risk crashing, i want to see the roads too, i wouldn't be giving it stick nor speeding. all i was saying was the pace they were riding at wasn't quite there and i was wondering if there is anybody i can follow around who really does know the roads, sorry if i offended anybody it was 230 am i was a touch tipsy and it did not come out right. my genuine apologys.

You're not obliged to, I'll be riding at my own pace, as will everyone else. If you want to follow the fast guys, go right ahead... I'm friends with some of the people in that video, and have ridden with most of the others. There's a pretty good chance that they all made it home fine, like the week before, and the week before that, that's justification enough for them to 'nana' around imho. Rest assured that if someone rips on you for how 'slowly' you rode when you're down here, I'll be giving them the same message you got...

That you do not see something does not mean it isn't there. Consequently, that I see something does not mean it IS there. It's OPINION. This is the INTERNET. Why is your opinion valid and mine not ? Just because you can bash others ?

Get skrewed Tank. People like you are never going to hear anything other than what you already believe. Perhaps you might at least get past this limitation for your own family, if not anyone elses, then they might have a hope. Wake up and quit being an asshole.

Yep. Still there. Good road for a short bit of fun. That damned hump still freaks me out when I hit the crown. No need to but it still does. The neat thing is that when you get to the end you just turn around and come back and it's like a completely different bit of road.

No i'm just not going to go out on roads i dont know and come out of a 65 or something down 90kph then find it goes straight into a hairpin 25.

as i say i can see the roads myself but i will take them at nana pace.

would just be good to have somebody with alot of experiance with these roads that we can chuck a bike to bike headset on and they can say hey mate lookout doosie coming up that has gravel usually etc etc.

Last thing i want to do it crash on some corner all the locals know about that i won't. it's a long walk home.

    EJKDDORAI and Mark

Both of you should pull your head in this is a public forum after all

    This is for everyone

Not sure what you think but i'm getting sick and tired of the constant shit that is thrown at mark and vice versa from what i've learnt since i've joined KB almost 2 years ago is that its a close nit family(of sorts) i've seen KB do lots of wonderful things when ppl are in need but there are somethings that i've seen that i'm ashamed to have seen.

Sure Mark can say and do somethings that a stupid and i'm sure that he'll agree with me but he is human and deserves to be treated as one. before you jump on me for defending him i've had my own personal spats with him in the past but the person i am i don't judge others for conditions they have or they way they are. He is trying slowly to sort his life out and doesn't need small minded ppl bringing him down further. I know what it is like to be bullied and its not nice aren't we all adults here on KB can we start acting like one after all lifes too short

Mark i hope you find your way in life but don't make it any harder by bring personal stuff to a public forum it not cool

    Rant over

    Big Dan

I followed you up to this point, then you lost me.

So you think following someone who knows the road well will make you ride faster?

I tried that once when I was young and lowsided on a right hand, down hill, off camber 55 posted corner. I dont try and keep up with people who know the roads better than me now.

A lynching takes on a slightly different perspective though when the victim supplies the rope, the horse, and the tree.

the bit of road i love is the switch back section heading north from queenstown over the crown range. something like 10 30k switchbacks. in order to get around the corner without going over the line ya almost have to come to a stop, change down, creep around and change up. very tricky due to the number of downhill vehicles that cut the corner with you half way round.

one of my favourite bits that provides a challenge i cant find up here.
