    Start with:
    Baroness - "Red Album"
    Mastodon - "Leviathan"
    Lamb of God - "Sacrament"
    Boysetsfire - "After The Eulogy"
Clutch - "Self Titled", or "Blast Tyrant"

    Then move on to:
Dillinger Escape Plan - "Ire Works"
Amen - "We Have Come For Your Parents"
    Municipal Waste - "Hazardous Mutation"
Kylesa - "To Walk The Middle Ground"
Cancer Bats - "Birthing The Giant"
    Leftover Crack - "Mediocre Generica"
Killswitch Engage - "Alive Or Just Breathing"
Dry Kill Logic - "The Darker Side Of Nonsense"
The Bronx - "Self Titled (Blood)"
Blood Brothers - "Burn Piano Island, Burn"
    Black Dahlia Murder - "Miasma"

Let me know of you want some more.

Killswitch Engage's 2nd and 3rd albums are much better. Different vocalist, and a lot more melody. It's really good stuff, gosh they can play.

Not sure how heavy you're willing to go, but try some "Stick To Your Guns" or "Throwdown." Even "As I Lay Dying" or "Underoath" might be worth a shot.

These are all bands which won't be played on the radio, and probably aren't well known by a lot of people, except for maybe Underoath.

    You mean 3rd and 4th?

Raging Speedhorn - "How The Great Have Fallen"
Rise Against - "Siren Song of the Counterculture"
    Propaghandi - "Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes"
Viking Skull - "Born In Hell"
Turbonegro - "Apocalypse Dudes", or "Scandinavian Leather"
Danko Jones - "We Sweat Blood"
Jerk - "When Pure Is Defiled"
Machine Head - "The Blackening" (also the award for the most Spinal Tap album name of all time)
    Mudvayne - "L.D.50"
    Isis - "Panoptican"
The Haunted - "Made Me Do It"
    Down - "Over The Under"

Seriously.... I could go on for hours.

I don't count Alive Or Just Barely Breathing as a proper album really...they just took Alive Or Just Breathing and changed it slightly.
I mean End Of Heartache and As Daylight Dies.

+1 for the bronx, boysetsfire, and rise against.
also try consumed, refused, shai hulud, with honor, avail, coheed and cambria, good riddance, saves the day, sparta.

and if you want a bit of a laugh, try "horse the band", and the sanctuary.
