    Not heard of Kiwi Biker?

I have talked to so many people who have not heard of www.kiwibiker.co.nz. No - not just anybody but motorcyclists. This week I meet a long term motorcyclists, who has been riding a Ducati around Wellington for a couple of years and not heard of KB. My first thought was, how could anyone riding a Duc have not heard of KB?

When I decided to get back into motorcycles the first thing I did was a Google search and I found KB. This has been one of my great finds on the internet and I doubt I would be back into bikes if it hadn’t been for KB and all the help I got from some of my first posts.

Should we promote KB or just leave it for those who search online?
    Here for the ride.

I heard of KB through a Kiwi biker I met in the UK. I guess if I hadn't I would have searched online for biker sites for NZ whilst preaparing to move to NZ.

Must admit I am so pleased that I did get on KB as I have made so good friends, met some awesome people and had some mint experiences (Puke track day). And of course there is OWNER.

I think that for some people they are not really into the internet so are not likely to come across KB unless through word of mouth. It might be an idea to promote KB through events such as trackdays (good old word of mouth) so that people who may benefit greatly from the site have the chance to check KB out and see what they think.

At the end of the day word of mouth and visibility (people have KB t-shirts) are the best advertising tools ever.

tell other bikers, it's really good for tips etc, but bad for wasting a good riding day, Iv'e taken heaps of really good advice from here that I would have taken years to learn of, plus theres a good bunch of people to meet and events to attend you might not otherwise hear of etc.

I hear it all the time...''na, never heard of it'' or ''had a look once, what a bunch of wankers''
Not everyones thing I guess, some would rather just ride than be interactive (or should that be internetactive?)... either way, those that are here and contribute in whatever way they see fit good on them, those that are not? I dont think they feel they are missing out on anything.

Mark joined a few months earlier than I did, but has about 1000 more posts than I do, which means (although shitloads of his posts get binned) he still has alot to add to threads that count....I must talk way more shit than he does.

Yay, I thought it was just me, I ask every biker I meet, and there have been quite a few, if they're on here in the forlorn hope one will turn out to be some one I've gassed with. No, not a one, most claim never to have heard of KB.

Shite, what if they are on here, realise who I am and deny all knowledge so they don't have to speak to me. cunning b'stards.

Was at the doctors the other day. The nurse saw I was a biker and mentioned her husband was a biker. I asked what did he ride, she said a Z750. Then she said he always goes on about some kiwibiker site and calls himself Jim2. Though I already knew of the site, goes to show how word spreads around and what a small world this is

I never mention it. If anyone wants a useful site for biking in New Zealand, this is the last place to find it, unless one feels like trawling through the bullshit... I'd rather not put anyone through that... In good conscience, that is...

The shit is only in the places you look for it in.
There's plenty of KB where good info and facts abound.
