Russian MiG downs Georgian Drone -- perfect footage captured from the drone!

Aside from the politics of it all, this is really quite cool.

Drone happily flying along taking footage, spies a Russian MiG, MiG launches missile which is filmed in very high quality video zooming towards it! Then of course, static...

Er, not quite up with the current state of play, but I didn't know they had MiG 29s?

A bit like that cameraman in Gaza recently, filming an Israeli tank which then fired its main gun, second or two later the shell arrives and the cameraman is dead, full of shrap.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

Yeah! Saw it in the newspaper. They only got two frames though I think. Muzzle flash, dark shape in the air, then nothing.

Having all this wonderful AV technology floating around is very interesting. In the old days you just wouldn't know what sneaky bastards were getting up to (naughty things like shooting nosy journalists, or downing lone spy planes that you're not supposed to), just rumours would circulate. Stuff like this is amazing.
