    Hi there!

Everyone has pretty much covered what needed to be said re: advice.

I prefer doing long rides on my bike. I do the Cold Kiwi (Auckland - Ohakune), the Cold Duck (Auckland / Hastings) and have been known to go to Wellie for a party.

I'd say, don't worry too much about it. Make sure you do regular stops to relieve any cramping, drink plenty of water and mostly : Enjoy it!

Once you've done it a couple of time, it is just addictive!

You'll be fine. Feeling tired? Don't force it, take a break.

Two-fifty CCs is enough to do anything, enjoy your trip.

Yeah long trips are the way to go.

Have done a few 1000+k rides on mine now. Totally addictive.

Plenty of breaks when you feel like it. Lots of fluids. And some energy foods.

Am seriously contemplating the Rusty Nuts Grand Challenge this year. 1600km's in 24 hours, sounds like a decent challenge to me...

Grand Challenge 1600kms/24 hours, October 18th and 19th. Entry forms on the rusty nuts web site.

I did 5 trips to Dargaville and back on my Honda C50 back in the day. Clocked up about 10,000kms in a year.

I rode my GT250R around the north island and ended up doind 5000ks. I took it relatively easy and had no problems with the bike at all. In fact, I meet you at Hubba Gubba's while I was on the trip.
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.

maybe i can use the GC as a deadline to get my bike on the road and its 1 day before my birthday
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

If anyone's keen we could get a 250 group heading through it, tackle all the 250 problems together...
