CBR400 NC29 front end on NC23

Has anyone put an NC29 front end on an NC23. There's about 25mm difference in fork length between the two. Can't find an NC23 front end for love nor money so it may be my only option.

put it in and just drop them through more at the top...

And for a mere inch of difference it really will not matter.

Someone put ZXR (I think... to this day, not too sure what the donor bike was) front end bits on my NC23. I'm sure its possible. It's also running a Yamaha TT350 (apparently) mcyl and fluid reservoir.

Yep thats from zxr C model... running honda discs etc though...

No, you're not getting me. The NC29 forks are shorter than the NC23 ones so there's nothing to drop through the top. I dropped the NC23 ones by 5mm and it make a huge difference to my bikes turning ability, so I'm a bit concerned that dropping the forks by just over an inch will make it unrideable.

Way way way back we did this modification, but slightly differently.
we were on a NC29 and put nc 30 forks and callipers in cos we wanted the four pot callipers not the 2 pot (also I could be wrong but i think the nc 30 had compression and rebound where as the 29 only had rebound?).
The problem was that the nc30 forks wer much lower, in the end we had a lowered triple clamp made by F1 engineering, that is pretty much how we got round it.

Get the top triple clamp plate modfied then. then drop them down an inch so it works out the same

And then there is the NSR forks which also slide in. I run them on my NC29. About to ditch them in favour of a USD setup from a guy in OZ. The NSR ones work great and have full adjustability.

Been offered NSR ones. Put it this way, the NC29 ones (if they can work) will be miles better than the $hitey air assisted things on the NC23.

Paul's told me that my top yoke and triple clamp are twisted too. Anyone got one?

If I switch to the RGV ones on here I will have the hwhole front off mine, NC29 clamps, NSR forks and VFR brakes up for grabs.

In speaking with Paul, we are pretty sure my NC23 had NC29 forks in it.
