Is there a way of telling how many of the 18+ a day do more than sign up, read a couple of posts and never come back?

So who decides what is shit, or what is worthwhile ? We are all just making our own opinion known, and there is never anything wrong with that, except to the few who are judge, jury, and executioner and who are prepared to give shit "back" and just don't know when or perhaps how to stop.

Could not agree more, on who decides a post is shit. But sometimes it is blaringly obvious, that the post has absolutely no merit whatsoever. As a figure of speech, I guess you could call it shit, or varying other names, drivel, worthless waste of characters on a screen, etc, etc. But in the end it is certainly down to individual interpretation, and each of us has our own unique tolerance for these things... Some just have their bullshitometer set to a different level to others. And then some don't even care. Which is all good, as you can never please everyone. Just some of them some of the time...

A lot of the pointless drivel - while not helpful or even meaningful sometimes - adds character to the site IMHO. Alas, we can not possibly all provide helpful advice and great insights all the time.
I'm happy to settle for friendly bullshit and pointless drivel 50% of the time.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

And that is what makes it a good site. You can hang shite on ya mates. You can help others out with advice. You can have a good old rant and rave about just about anything you like. And you said it above "FRIENDLY BULLSHIT", it's when it starts getting personal and nasty and crosses a line in the internet sand that brings the tone down a bit...

I'm always surprised how many bikers have never heard of kiwibiker.co.nz. I every case I recommend that individual checks it out. Haven't had anyone come back to tell me I'd wasted their time. Don't expect to either

Best you do stay away, I'm sure you would find it very scarey.

Perzackly my experience too! I always ask the question, (as innocently and tactfully as I can..), but rarely find a biker from KB! Always recommend they check it out, though!

Which was also the kinda the point behind the "wanking beats rape" comment btw.

Well it's definately not a democracy, or a club or a gang.

For the record I really dont give a toss what people think about KB. Like in the "real" world there are good people and there are dickheads. If it werent for KB I wouldnt be where I am today and I dont think I would be so happy. I dont tell everyone about KB but I certainly dont diss it either.

I agree about the democracy and gang, but not club.

I do see the forum as a club. It has been said that the main difference between this forum and other internet forums is how this one spills out into real world experiences. That is what makes it so interesting. I wouldnt have alot of the friends I have today if it wasnt for kiwibiker. Wouldnt have as many enemies either BTW.
