We should all be driving FIat 500's, like this. The 1.2 lt gets 60mpg and the turbo diesel gets 70mpg and cranks out 75hp!

    I doubt it.

Actually I think the government should just double the fuel prices and use that money to improve NZ's infrastructure to be more energy efficient. That would be foresight and I'm sure it would help ease congestion too. If not, double it once more and then I'm sure we'll start seeing cars carrying passengers besides the driver!

Then again, considering the ineptitude of NZ politicians I actually think that there'll be more foresight in Joe Blog using his money to buy beers and smokes.

    I very much doubt it'll get 70 mpg @ 75 hps...

Notice how that isn't broken down any further though. Merkins are utterly dependent on oil because nearly all their freight goes by road - check with Kenwood and Peterbilt- but I reckon it'll be a while until any of their vehicles can do that kind of economy.

Not if you lived next to me you don't. After a particularly good party at our flat, the neighbour found her Fiat 500 sideways in her garage.

It was horrible .... she woke me up at 0730 to ask me if I could get it out. What an ungodly hour on a Saturday to wake someone ... has she no consideration!

Nice for a small car. Would a 6.7 litre V10 fit?

I liked some of the reader comments on the stuff article.

I wouldn't want to be slipstreamed by some american tank and definately not with it's engine off!

Without engine assisted braking some of their vehicles would take forever to stop!
Lead, follow or get the f*%! outa the way.
