No option for 0kms. Wouldn't go out of my way to help a KBer. Would be reluctant to go much further than 1000kms each way for a friend though... would rather pay for there flight back and freight for the bike.

Gone to Aukland for a mate, and couldn't be bothered goin into town for an unknown or disliked.

Given that this seems to be the generic answer, it would appear that only a real wanker on here is ever actually stranded.

If it were for any of my friends on here, I'd happily hitch the trailer up and go to Invercargill. Well, not happily, I mean, who the hell would be happy to go to Invercargill??

For Georgie or 007XX, I'd walk that far...

For SkidMark - I'd happily drive that far just to throw stones at him. And then drive home alone. With a smile.

There's a bunch of very cool people on this site - and they'd find a helping hand from me if needed (just holler!), but equally, as stated by a bunch of people, there are some I'd just as soon not help out.

But, I'd probably even stop for skiddy if he was broken down on the side of the road and i was driving past...

Yep definitely depends who it was. If it was a stranger, under a 100 kms, someone I didn't like, to the bottom of my road, unless I felt I could get some gloating in. Someone whom I consider a friend... the ends of the earth!!! Nah, I lie, depends on the situation and who it was, but probably a LONG way!! hahaha

I wouldn't get out of bed for Georgie or 007xx. Mind you, if I was lucky enough to be in that position, I would let either of them out of bed either...

    LOL!!!!

Sorry Georgie and 007XX... And 007XY...

Well, If someone says "Why won't you go? Hes still a biker/known person/human/etc"
then I'll reply "Why don't YOU go?"

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

    Cheeky blighter.

I've been halfway down 22 to collect a friends bike after he collected a cow.
I've been to Port Waikato to collect a bike that failed to make a bend and landed on some rocks on at the seaside.
I've collected a bike from a nasty spill over the edge of Twilight Road (Hellraiser and The_Dover helped pull it out of the undergrowth 5 metres down)
2 of these accidents were good mates, the other was a comlplete stranger to me at the time.

You are a good man mcJim.I hope I never need to but at least I know there would be help at hand if needed down south.
PS Can you please book us some semi decent weather for the Burt Munro this year?

    Depends who it is .....

Been from Hamilton to Auckland and return to pick up a binned bike from a track day, then took the said bike to Shaun Harris to get fixed.

Went and got the Quasi van to pick up the same bike from above when it binned in Hamilton (after being fixed by Shaun)!

Arranged to get a bike (hyosung at that!) back to Wellington on one of my trucks for a Kiwibiker who binned on 22.

Drove from Hamilton to Raglan and return and return after Quasi cut the ignition of Torques race bike the night before leaving to go to Wanganui street race! . . . . just to get tools, wires, cable joiners, multi meter!

Drove from Hamilton to Whangamata and back to pick up Bruce and Daryls stuff after the accident ......

There are a few who I would go anywhere to help, because I know if I was in the same situation they would do exactly the same no questions asked.

All the rest .... well ..........
On Time .... In Spec .... On Budget .... Yeah Right!
