    Oil cooler for an R6

    Hey guys,

I'm part of the Auckland Uni Formula SAE team and one of my projects is to find out what size "oil to air" oil cooler would work best.
Cooler would be going between inline between the oil pump and the dry sump tank.
I was just wondering if anyone had any sizes or ballpark figures which I could start my research with.

    cheers,

Perhaps you could start with something off of a GSXR1000.

It'd be ball park but it's a starting point.

Otherwise find out if the R1 runs an oil cooler too, either way compare what the standard road going bike uses versus what a WSBK setup has... they may do away with it all together, but i know they oversize the radiators so maybe they do the same with the oil coolers too?

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
