what the hell is that on the centre of the bars ? Is it a steering dampner or sommit
Edit / Just read that it is lol
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Sure is, of sorts, never heard of the brand though, seriously doubt if that's got anything to do with Ohlins like it says there.

Yea i really dont like them actually ,that pipe setup just looks a bit too "different" for me ,And they feel really heavy and cumbersome imo. i dunno because the guy that gave me the test ride thought i was joking when id said that and thought the complete opposite and a thou is just too much engine for me

Ya the HD is great, for what i brought it for, but i need a "Crazy Phyco Bike" ,I can only ride the HD for so long and then i just need something with that adrenaline kick ya know the harley is quite a plod attracter tho as you really want to sit at speeds well above the stated because you dont feel like your going that fast until you look at the speedo.Best thing about it ,is that i can own it/ride it basically as much as i like and know that when i come to sell it ,it will still fetch a pretty penny.

Yea well just finished takeing the drz out ,all i can say is ....Farken Meow!!! was like riding a stunt bike ,felt like i should be pulling a wheelie on it at every set of lights and then poping a stoppie at the next : Really got the adrenaline flowing thats for sure !!! (ya can probably tell)

Went alright on the main road for what it was ,buit i definately knew it was a 400 as i had to flick it down a few to feel i had enough to pass(then of course you get too high in the rev range and lose power aswell so its a bit of a trick to keep it in the power range) ,but then i enjoy a bike that you have to work keeps me concentrated.
The suspension on it is worlds ahead of the big old kat ,tested this out on the Paiheatua Track ,and holy crap!! i just had an absolute blast on it.Incredibly flickable almost unsettleing compared to the kat as i had to get used to having a bike that i can actually just lean(do you lean on these bikes or stick ya leg out and lean back ?) into corners instead of having to muscle it around.Took it about 120kms and didnt have a hint of backside pain ,so im right for the Manawatu Rides as ya stop every 50kms anyway

Bloody Brilliant these Motards ,cant believe i havent tryed one out earlier got me grinning ear to ear the whole ride ,Cant wait to try the XTX

At this point in time id take it in a flash over the katana (i think it weights less than half its weight lol) but i had to grit my teeth and not sign anything just yet as im going to try out a xtx in the next couple of days and if the DRZ is anything to go buy im going to be enjoying the XTX600 even more.

Will be interesting to hear what you think of the XTX660, they get mixed reviews from what I gather, really depends on what you're expecting before the test ride i guess, would still look at that KTM option I reckon.
Then again you could ditch all your bikes and go straight to the SuperDuke, there's a bit of everything in that bike.

KTM are a rock solid brand packed with top shelf parts like brembos, braided lines, hydralic clutches etc, and their Motard stuff is legendary. And no I've NEVER owns one, just raced against them and been pretty impressed but I am a Yamaha man in the dirt when I raced and had great backing so I never changed.
I'd seriously suggest you test a kaytoom before you commit to anything, visit AFC, talk to some owners/riders. The XTX just isnt in the same league.

Yea ,is a bit "big" for my tastes ,reminds me of my old transalp which was reliable but just weighed too much and wasn't really that great for backroad blasts etc.

Yea will give a review on it asap ,will just have to find one first ...AFC ? PT ? don't actually think ive seen one in the local dealers.

Yea the SuperDuke is still an option, although id have to maybe sit on the funds for another 2 months till id have enough (im very impatient tho lol) .But talking to owners of the Duke in the pst and lately,it sounds like it would be worth the extra $$$ as its got the premium gear on it and to be honest ticks all the boxes in terms of what im looking for in my next bike.

Yea never ridden, nor looked over a KTM in my life actually (except a SuperDuke) ,as you say they have the top gear , just reading some of the forums and reviews on the 620 and superduke .Will have to visit AFC sometime then (never been their either lol ) .

Searching on TradeMe this caught my eye tho http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-105011032.htm
might have to gets my self clued up on KTM i think so i know what to look for etc

Or i could just go buy a triumph ... not many of them around lol
