Dead right Death (no pun intended) dog turd repairs really are SHIT. See them nearly every day would not recomend leaving them in at all.
Even for the poor soul that has to pull them out its a pain in the arse. Get it fixed properly once and wright, you wont even know its there.

    Two questions for you.

If you are by yourself in the middle of nowhere and it is getting near the end of the day and you find you have a bloody big nail stuck in your tyre after polling over to the side of the road to take a photo or something... what exactly should one do?

Secondly, apart from looking messy and having a funny name, what technically is wrong with them lasting a couple of thousand ks until the tyre needs replacing anyhow? Please be specific here.

They are designed to be a temporary repair. They can let go at anytime. Sometimes they last for ages or as my dads mate found out they last 30km's.

You should always get a proper repair done at a bike shop. Its peace of mind knowing that the thing cant come out and wont suddenly deflate.
