A bit of interest for you people
this is the view we see every day.
Thats the southern alps in the back ground, with SH1 the road in the forground. The vines you see are just 1/3 of what we have to prune over the next five months.
And also a snap of Mark in his Hi Vis work vest and lunch box....yeap gumboots....sheep are all around us

It's too old to eat but it's so stupid it doesnt deserve to live, typical goat....has grass all around it but will go as far as it's chain will let it before it will eat anything... it passes over all the best stuff to get that last bit, usually jumping the fence to get to it, the grass is greener on the other side

    Silly goat.

    Silly goat.
You learn something new everyday kiddo, Goats don't eat grass, that's sheep. Goat's prefer pretty much anything BUT grass
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

A guy I used to work with in Twizel got one to eat the ivy off his house to save him clearing it off himself. Goat finished the ivy ... and then proceeded to start eating the clading of the house.
