I did the Fletcher Marathon (30th) in the 90's...first and last time I will ever run that far. The worst thing about running around Lake Rotorua is that, for the best part of it, you can see where you have to go and where you have been, got a medal for it though, which is the only reason I did it really...

What sort of distances had you run before the marathon maha man? I've heard the Rotorua course is particularly nasty. Will give it a nudge, one day.

Doing the Feilding to Palmy run tomorrow, 22 k with no training so that should be fun . Done a few marathons and umpteen ( look it up ) half marathons a few years ago.
