    Rotorua-Kaingaroa-Murupara-Teteko-Rotorua

anyone interested in this ride ? Theres some nice wide roads, long long straights, and maaaaaasive sweepers, and some twisty stuff north of murupara.

    edit: added route, briefing.

    Heres the route http://tinyurl.com/47e3m6
    Heres the briefing http://meshnetworks.co.nz/~steve/rot...eteko-ride.pdf

Maybe we could kick the barby in the guts somewhere afterwards ? Something more winterish ?

    discuss.

gidday you two. No plans on dates, just fishing for interest so far. 250's will be all good, but due to the nature of the um, road, once the larger-engined bikes hit the back roads likely you will, um, never see them again.

Perhaps with the "first" hehe, part out of the way (to murupara) the rest is just corners and short straights so maybe we can regroup at murupara.

Sorry DB. Had to read your orginal post again. So just to get it straight in my mind it's a hell for leather, go like fuck as fast as you can race rather than a ride?? That's cool. May have to reconsider my interest in this one.

cough, yeah thats kinda the nature of the road. Hey do come though, looks like you will have company (female company too!) and its a beautiful place to ride through. Hot pools at the end of the windies.

edit: ahh not really a full-out ride. just a zip along on a larger bike ride.

Could be keen depending on when it is, if I'm working and if I'm not sick that day

Will there be a tail end charlie or will the lead guys who know where to go stop at the turns? I'm on a 600cc, I know it's not a ltr bike or any thing but I'm still learning how to ride the thing so probably won't be that quick... Also mindful of the

its all fully sealed, and the roads are excellant.

A full briefing will be done beforehand. We can stop at various points and wait perhaps.

There will be a tail end charlie.

Great sealed roads all the way.
This time of year just watch out for the moss and lichen in some of the damper spots between Murapara and Te Teko. The northen end has been logged in the last year giving more light and sun to the road. Tahuna road has some awesome corners and some real tight ones that are signposted.
