    Old(er) helmet?

I just went in and bought a new visor for my HJC CL-10. The helmet itself is pretty much due for replacement however the bank balance doesn't currently allow.

Up until recently I've only been riding once a month or sometimes less depending on how nice my friends were being, but i did notice that my visor was a bit crap. I've just purchased a replacement clear visor and the difference is huge.

I've pretty much got that 'new helmet' feeling - perfect clarity of view, with no light scratches or crazy cracks (oooooh!) interupting my view. It'll get the mist test later tonight on my way home.

My advice is that if you're riding around with a helmet you've had for a while, go into where you bought it from and find out how much a replacement visor is, especially coming into winter now and riding more in the darkness with headlights in your eyes all the time you might find it helps things just that little bit safer for you.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Unless it's a Shoei as you'll wonder why HJC can sell helmets at less money than a Shoei replacement rip off visor.
