Well, I was up early to watch the race, and it did not dissapoint, although I had to go at the 160th lap to get to work. Heard it on Radio that he won, and was real pleased...Got home, back onto sky to watch the highlights...
Normally it is Nascar that spins my wheels, but as it was the Big one and our boy was on pole I could not resist...

His parents are Kiwis. They were managing a race track in Queensland at the time he was born.

He was born a Kiwi FFS. Trust the Aussies to to try and spin it otherwise.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

I doubt anyone in that game would be very happy getting taken out in pit lane like she was - she'll calm down and be hot again
    Cheers

Citizenship hasn't been based on country of birth for a long time. If you still carry a British passport, she's a Brit.

IF the Aussies are making a claim for him, this will negate their claim on Phar Lap...
"Place of birth" and all that.

Bloody mighty, a great reward for all the years of hard work he's put in (and all his family and support crew) to get to this level. Bravo.

When he kissed that woman after the race, I was thinking "shit, hope that's his girlfriend because if not, she's going to be mightily pissed off!" I didn't know he was married, but it was great to hear him mention her being part of his victory.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

She is a Kiwi as far as I am concerned...holds a NZ passport as do I as well as British one.

Blimey cannot even be proud to have a Kiwi Daughter these days...what ever happened to 'Made in New Zealand'...

    Dual citizenship is fine.

But the point that you so readily try to ignore is that Mr Dixon is a NZ citizen, not Australian.

That was his wife. She's rather gorgeous, eh?

I have to keep reminding myself he's only 27! He's 5 years younger than my son and younger than both my sons-in-law!
