    Excellent Result!
Arguing with an Engineer is like wrestling a pig in mud.

After a while you realise the pig is enjoying it.

Could get pulled up by 'speedo cops'.

It'd be okay.. just say you're on your way to a cashie and can't be late, jack of all trades styles.

I put a pushbike speedo on and though "that'll do".. and it did until I went to get a warrant this morning. I was told that a pushbike speedo is unsatisfactory, unless it's certified/calibrated. The thing is, I know the pushbike one is quite accurate, but have no way of proving so.
I don't want to go down the route of buying a new speedo as they're $600, and I can't find any at wreckers here or in Auz. Does anyone know how to get a pushbike speedo approved for use on my motorbike?
Mate, I've rebuilt an SRV and have had to use a GN250 speedo temporarily due to the original one doing the same thing as yours (photos on my page). They mount straight on, pass the warrant and I reckon must be easy to find at a wreckers, or try a bike shop. I picked up mine with 5000km on the odo from Phil Turnbulls for $80 off a crasher. My long term replacement will be from http://www.deus.com.au. Check them out for some mint cafe racer parts. Just some ideas if you're looking for something more permanent than the bike speedo.

Some wof inspectors get way too anal bout the rules and regs. Common sense needs to be the number one priority and supersedes the rules when necessary.
Ive seen wof guys that would be right at home running a concentration camp like Guantanamo or sommat. Iv also seen wof guys that are realistic and have empathy with the biker that needs a wof to satisfy the bean counters.
If the bike is gleaming and in new cond. its a no-brainer, the owner looks after it. If its a piece of shit, go figure!
