Just gave Pamela a rev up to make sure all is well with the girl and see if we could hear the rattle I'm sure I could hear during the BOB.
So get her started, definitely a rattle there, have a look about and yes, there!! Her front engine mounting bolts is vibrating its way out, nut from the other side has gone and the bolt was working its way out!!! ARHHH!!!
So turn her off, wait for her to cool down enough to get hands in there and chuck another nut on the bolt and do it up nice and tight, checked the other two bolts and all of them were loose too!!! OMG, that could have been really bad if they'd all come out on the track!! Or as Kendog said "That would've been a classic bucket moment" yes "Pamela loses her guts during Battle of the Buckets!"
Started her up again, no more rattles, a curious hurting noise coming from the brakes which needs some further investigation and her throttle cable doesn't like it when she turns corners, so need to sort that too, ahh buckets, it never ends!

Buy loctite or nyloc nuts. Worth it for peace of mind.

Heat is the enemy of both of those solutions though. If you can it's probably best to lock wire that nut on.

I can't talk though, I've got nylocs in assorted places on Frankie. On more than one occasion my engine mounts have vibrated loose.

Korea had better be racing... he's got a bucket now. I'm guessing he'll be A grade though. Which means I'll be pushed back to B grade.

haha, fair enough. I tried to get a replacement fuel cap seal that went mysteriously missing, and was told I couldn't get one and would have to buy a completely new cap at $95!!!!

Make sure you use lock washers on every bolt you can. Just another little prevention of loosening nuts.

When you get to my age (or Skunks for that matter ), loose nuts are an issue.........
