I think that the point was made very well by mister.koz...Threesomes in theory and I'm sure in practice are perfectly doable.
The only things really coming into play which will make it a hazardous enterprise are insecurities. And heck, I don't know many people who don't have those...

Sexual experimentation by married couples (IE:Threesomes) is possibly best compared to financial gearing.

The risks are extremely high but "successful" ventures could be extremely rewarding. (so I have been told)

Females minds are not very different really. I have had the opportunity to be involved in both FFM and MMF but all parties were friends only, no one was romantically involved with each other etc as that would have made things very difficult. It put a strain on the friendship to begin with so I can imagine that it would put a huge strain on a relationship.
