    ooo good poll.

    Some figures for you (source).
    • An estimated 47% of married men do at some point.
    • An estimated 35% of married women do at some point.
Of course these vary depending on the survey...

Hrmm my one and only "cheat" happened a few years ago, but I don't know if it really qualifies....

Long story short, several years ago the night before I planned to break up with my gf, I ended up cheating on her with my ex, while at the very same time she was cheating on me with some random dude at a party (validating all my previous suspicions, hence me wanting to breakup)... best part was next day I found out and she didn't so took the moral high ground while dumping her

Does playing kiss-chase with your long-term girlfriend's (well, since that morning's play-time) best friend count? Girlfriend saw and ran off in tears to tell teacher... And then best friend refused to talk to me for the what was left of lunchtime.

    It was a traumatic experience...

If that happens, it won't be a good thing.

Historically it is one of the primary indicators of an empire/society/culture in a freefall meltdown.

I've wondered about this in the past; is there some sort of reverse statute of limitations in effect, there?

Like, does a quick nasty phone call to the current boring missus as you stand there in your undies about to shag the woman of your dreams count as 'not cheating'?

Or do you have to have that conversation a minimum of n hours beforehand?

    n days beforehand?

    n months?

Personally, while there is certainly a line that gets crossed when people engage in sexual activity, I'd say that the development of a relationship outside of a committed partnership is the point where it all goes crook.

The honourable bloke or blokette winds things up tidily before other connections are formed - dating other people on the side and then breaking up just in time to consummate the new relationship is pretty chickenshit behaviour.

Still, nobody's perfect, and it beats the hell out of running an affair behind one's partner's back.

kiwibiker is full of love, an disrespect.
