On another note, hav got some you tube vids downloaded to my pc in the .flv format, what is a good program to rip them to mpegs or avi's... the ones i use have been shit quality

YouTube Downloader will save them as flv's and then you can convert to many different types. You can convert previously saved flv's too.

It's not too bad and it's free. Bear in mind the flv's off YouTube have already been compressed so you can't make them too much better than they are.
