    Wanted:Aftermarket muffler VFR 800

    i,M LOOKING FOR AN AFTERMARKET CAN FOR A 1999 VFR800 PREFERABLY IN STAINLESS BUT WOULD LOOK CARBON FIBRE?

    YOU MIGHT HAVE TO SPEAK UP A BIT - SOME OF US CAN HARDLY HEAR YOU.


    You'll be lucky to find a secondhand one, if that's what you're after. Otherwise, I'd recommend a Staintune - Tony Rees is the local agent for those. (See my profile pic for what they look like). They're stainless steel, very well made, never need repacking, and have a removable spud (restrictor).
    ... and that's what I think.

    Thanks Viffer emailed Tony Rees yesterday $875 + freight, can get Damon at Cycleworks down here to build one in stainless for $750 so will probably go with that.Thanks for the info.

    I had one made by Zorsts in CHCH on my 750. looked and sounded amazing.

    There are also a few on the eBay global sales pages.

    Yeah, they made me two s/steel megaphone-type 'mufflers' for my VF500 when I lived there. They were cheaper than any other aftermarket ones I could've bought anywhere, and looked and sounded really nice. I also had some Cycleworks zorsts on my XBR500RS Mutant when I had it, and they were very nicely made indeed.
    Another option I forgot about was Neptune - they're in Wellytown too, aren't they?
    ... and that's what I think.
