    % of fuel paid in tax

    Alright, you lot are a knowledgeable bunch... perhaps you can help my little brother for an assignment.

    He needs to know what percentage of fuel is tax to the government (and on top of that, you would have GST as well), which I think has been covered, but I don't know if specific numbers have been mentioned?

    When there were large raises in the cost of fuel in the UK - alot of petrolstations had big posters saying for every $20 (well GBP) you spend on fuel $16 is tax.

    Please complain to your MP about the cost of fuel - not us.


    Was really effective.


    Acheived nothing - but stuck in peoples minds.
