    RC30 gets my vote.
You know how when you you have a really good crap and you just have that really satisfying "aaaaaaaaah........" type moment? This does it for me.

RC30 would be my absolute realistic dream bike. There are unobtainable exotic's that will only ever be fantasy's but an RC30 is right up there on the list and is almost realistic....almost..............

Just to take this full circle...I still think the best sounding production bike is the CBX: http://www.geocities.com/PixSounds/bsnd/cbx.wav ....though I am biased
Next would be Ducati's and any decent triple like a Laverda or Triumph

As far as race bikes go, hearing 2 stroke GP bikes live still beats the pants off anything else.

Honary mention goes to the supercharged V-Max and the turbine bike gets a mention just for sheer insanity!

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

That Duc-Sounds website is cool !!!
I've ridden a 900S2 before. A big tank of a thing but a real experience riding.

    Now I'm biased,...but then I'm allowed to be !!
