Is it a calender for bikes or egos? if bikes I want to see some inspirational bikes race bikes, action shots, project bikes completed that look great, whitetrash knee down, parking a GN250 infront of a lake and making it april well snoooooooorrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeee...
Traditionally, it is a calendar about KBers, for KBers. From that point of view, it is very successful. If you want a narrow-minded, bike type specific calendar, I'm sure you'll find something better in the shops.

So make them cool and they will sell...
Define "cool", and get everyone to agree?

If you don't want to buy one, that's fine.

It's a shame that so many people lose sight of what the calendar is actually about.

FWIW, I actually thought the GN shot was very nicely done. So what that it is a GN, for a whole lot of people it is one of their earliest rides and probably holds some sentimental value... and on the other side it was one of the cleanest bikes I have EVER seen! The owner should be proud

And I for one get a bit sick of seeing plastic all the time, racebikes are nice but they often look the same: different bike & racer but same look. So go for some unusual angles in your shots if you want to be considered ( I like the top down one this year), or some good KB group race shots...

I loved the dirt shot too, that was probably my fav shot, and I am not into dirt bikes... who cares what sort of bike it is honestly? I take the skill of the photographer anyday on capturing a great moment, over some staged pic... tho they can be nice too.

Get out there people and do ya damndest to get some great shots, you've got till October (I think? Cajun?) ...and if you have any ideas/things you'd like to see, send us those ideas as well. We wont necessarily be able to do many things but can look into it anyway.
    Cheers people!

I realise what its about raising money for KB, as a long time financal contributor to KB I understand this, BUT
How much profit did this calender make after costs ??

And because it is the traditional way, is it the best way, has it achieved the best leverage of KB member dollars, or can it be refined to increase the sales ???

I dunno, Im not involved in it, just trying to offer some opinion constructively.

Just under a $1000.00... and that means its quite a few months of KB expenses for Spank! So does it do what is needed? Yes... I think so!

oh yeah and the shots dont have to be recent ones... if you have an awesome shot from a while back send it in.

I like to see a bit of variety in the calendar, after all it really is meant to have something that most people on KB will like, so it has to cater to HUGELY varied tastes.

And from what I have seen over the last few years, its more about raising KB awareness to non kbers and giving ya something nice (and with a kiwi motorbike flavour) to put on your wall (and for your workmates to comment on... believe me I get quite a few good comments from it) than just about raising money.

    +1.
The photographer was organised enough to take (what appeared to be) an entire cleaning set with them! Great shine, nice background!

Good excuse to clean my bike I guess. Maybe this can be the first picture of a Hyosung in a Calender anywhere, ever.

Does it matter how much profit was made? Maybe you should do one. You could have the great Sportsbike calendar with Whitetrash getting his knee down on every corner of Puke.

Oh that's right....you'd have to double up on some corners.

That would be really cool. I may even send a few of my blue lovely. She does not shine so much anymore, it is more of a glow...
