This thread is just sick, sick, sick. Pass me another weaner, this one's split.
hey sorry for the late reply guys and girls.
Story was my mate was heading home (Ohau)and following a cop and the cop in front of him pulled to the left and so he thought he was getting pulled up for something but then the cop pulled out to do u-turn and unfortunalty WHAM! Mates alguds but sadly his new FZR 750 he got went all the way to Taranaki is pretty F**ked we went to se it a couple of days ago and the forks are bent, wheel buckled and fairings look nasty!
(The Accident happen near the Loaded Hog Brewery)
Cops have been in contact but hes not sure what to expect in terms of the cops paying him for the bike and stuff.
Any words of advice from the Kb team?
Glad your mate is ok .. hmm now thats one crap of an area to be making a u turn .. if its on the left heading towards levin I thought there was yellow lines on the side of the road indicating no stopping etc ..
I guess it depends if your mate was insured and the insurance company will go to bat on his behalf
Have toKarma ... Justice catches up eventually !!
I would be having discussions with the officier at hand. Ignore the fact that it is the police. He is liable just like anyone else would be. Keep on at them about it. I hope your mate reported the incident to the local police dept and got a report written. Dont let the officier at fault control any of the paperwork. That is a conflict of interest and dont take no for an answer.
Best place to stay in Hawkes Bay here
Nearly all men can stand adversity and hard time, but if you want to test a mans true character, give him power....

Yep, that's definitely careless use of a motor vehicle as far as the cop was concerned. Failing to clear the area and all that. I'd pick (hope) that the cops do the right thing and put it right.
