Rocker - the curved patches above and below the main clubs emlem. For some clubs it will consist of the club name above and the place they are from or their particular club house is.

I have started wearing my clubs patch on my back, no rockers though. I've had some drunk homie ask me what I thought of him "buying out my gang and putting my patch on the dirt" so I just added better lettering to the patch and really other than that it's only been the uninformed saying it's "Black Powers" patch but most say looks nothing like anything BP or anyone else wheres (might also have to do with it being a hand painted piece of cloth).

Planning of getting small rockers for our shoulder patches, as to what they say I haven't come up with anything other than Ride Hard Ride Free, maybe Canterbury, and for guys that have some sort of position might have V. President or something.

I'm proud to say who my friends are, and glad we can share similar values. I'm my local area of town people in the pubs all recognize the patch and know us as good guys. Even had a drunk dude come up and hug me last Saturday lol

One reason I miss the states... sorta a warped patch culture here. Bike rallies there you will see rockered up scruffy patched guys who belong to clubs such as "God's Helpers" or "NY Fire Service MC"

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Surely no-one would try it on with the world famous in NZ naked-moustachioed-copper-who chases-thieves-in-the-night?(I hear thats your tribal name )

Putting a bottom rocker with the name of an area ie canterbury is akin to saying, 'this area is mine, i rule this'. Its an open invite.

jrandom: was that turkey slap or bitch slap?

Yeah that's just the thing though - it originally was suppose to be a way to just tell what area people in the same club came from.

Then it became a territory thing over income. Who gets a piece of the pie?

Yep and i am old enough to remember that having a flinstones 'gay old time' was non sexual. Unfortunately times change and not every change is for the good.

Your right and now its not so innocent. As events esculate (mmm hasn't invercargill been out of the spotlight recently) any possible patch showing may invite unwanted attention and this certainly includes the HOG and 'live free ride free' type insignia.

Is it wrong? yep, sure is, but then you wouldn't wear red to a bull fight now would you, I mean just to prove you could (ok, ok we all know red doesn't insight bulls but you get the message).
