21 July .. got a call from Lone Star today .. we will have to limit the number attending to 60. Due to the increase of numbers from 30-40 to 60 we have several options .. & perhaps a 3rd (that I am thinking might be a plan
Option 1) we can all sit together in the restaurant if we dine earlier at 5.30
option 2) we can remain at the same time but will have to split the seating between the function room and main restaurant (not desirable)
Option 3) that she did mention but will have to have confirmed move the dining time out to 8pm .. (this could be a plan allows those who need to get kids settled before coming out & we were planning on dining at 7pm anyhow)
so over the next few days can you let me know which option suits ppl (I would have added a poll but it will not allow me to) we will go with majority rules ...
cheers

i dont see how sixty people are going to sit 'together' in the main restaurant....it's not one large room
F M S
Lone Star can seat 120 with approx 35 (so they say) in the main function room .. even though its not one large room they can seat us all in the same area so we can still mingle (rather than be in two seperate rooms)

was talking to a guy today about the bowling club/cossie club. Aparently they put on a fantastic menu for around $13/head. Full bar and off street parking. Change of venue?

might have to go for a scouting dinner & check it out ... last time I went it left a lot to be desired ..nuffing like the food they put on down here ... mind you cheap drinks & pool tables & racing & ruggers .. that should have everyone just about covered ..
looks like option 3 is the preferred option ..I will call them back in two days & put that one to them .. if not it could mean a change ..

Was thinking similar lines as well, except thought of the RSA also, any member of a chartered club can sign into the RSA I think. As long as the club is part of chartered clubs inc of NZ.If 50-60 people then gives the option of buffet meal.
Happy at anytime as no kids(under 12)to worry about,so 8.00pm is ok with us.Can always shoot into BK or Maccas at 4.30 for a burger to soak up the alcomohol before grazing.

Yes thought that was so,sent an email to the Palmy squash and cossie club checking out transferring membership, they said no worries, but as I've just renewed my membership here will wait as no refund from this end.
Usually the organiser lets the club know there will be a few members and non members present, who knows the club might get new members apply if meals are good,at least the beers are cheapish.
We have a tourers section adjunct here,a cross section of bikes and ages too, good poker run held annually.

I dont get what your saying.
The PN cossie club book out for all sorts of events. You dont have to be a member of any club so its kinda a moot point.
