How do you get a 24mth warranty...You buy a 650 Savage/Dr/Sv and above, then you will have a 24mth warranty.

Soooooooo ring 0800789854(SuzukiNz) and ask on of the warranty techs how long the warranty is..

And you will find it is 12mths....Which is 12mths not 24mths..

Either way, its there on paper. Someone would have to swallow the cost, and legally it wouldnt be me.

though warranties dont cover shit these days. Piston seizures arent covered which farks me off.

Dear Crazy Steve,

The regular DR-Z does indeed have a 12 month warranty. The subtlety you are not aware of is that the SM model has a 24 month warranty. Since this is an SM model, it has a 24 month unlimited KMs warranty. Check with Suzuki yourself if you like.

I know you were only trying to save me and a perhaps a prospective buyer grief in the event of warranty claim, however in this case all you have done is caused confusion.

No a Regular Drz400e has 3mths warranty....

And I know even the dealers think its 24mths....But hey ive rang SUZUKI NZ TWICE NOW AND THEY SAY 12MTHS is 12MTHS ! ! !

I think the person you may've spoken to could be confused then Steve. A DRZ400S was 24 months as is the SM. The street legal enduro version is 12 months.

A warranty booked, signed and stamped 24 months versus someone on the end of a phone line.

I know which one would stand up in court if someone tried telling me I was covered in the second year.

Its 24 months. accept it, and lets keep this on topic - LBTW is trying to sell his bike, and you are trying to put doubt on the warranty period.
