    Budgie needs a good home!

OK folks, this is random, even for KB...

Long story short, our charming cats were most mischievous a few weeks back, and we arrived home to find they had stolen a Budgie from somewhere... (Lets not forget the stolen fish, and chicken carcass - damned klepto cats!)

Lucky for the bird, it was robust and had withstood their attentions by hiding quietly in the house. We immediately put up mug shots of the lost bird at the local dairy to no avail...

We've had the poor thing living in a cat cage for the last few weeks, and it deserves better.

Can anyone provide this white and blue budgie with a good home??

We can't keep it, as it doesn't have a proper cage, and it stays in the laundry away from the cats - which is no fun for it.

So if you've got and aviary or a lonely budgie in need of a friend, please PM me.

Thanks to anyone that can help, Ross

My two cats would have a field day if I brought him home , so sorry I can't help.

However, how about talking to your local Jansens? They are awesome when it comes to finding homes for lost pets.

^^^ Hey! That even looks a bit like one of our cats...

Aye - if I get no luck here, then I might be trying the ol' notice up at the local vets/pet shop.

It's a survivor allright - we've christened it the 'Budgie cigar' - it likes noise and attention and birdseed bells (glutton!)

jeebus...you'd need a whole flock to make a mouthful.

And no, it's a pet shop with branches everywhere in Auckland.

thats the english version of the south african store, iirc.

Learn to google Click here and it takes you to animates.co.nz... weird... but meh

on a side note, jansens is a slightly crowded name in nz, janssens is the english store, jansen is electrical I think, then jansens is the pet place

edit: ah, I think they are in the process of rebranding perhaps.

Pity you don't live in Wellington otherwise I'd take him for you. He could come live with my crazy cockatiels... they'd love a cute little play thang!
