    BA XR6, 12.5l/100km with a normal trailer, 20l/100km with a big trailer.

It's a bit low to be honest & lack of 4wd can be a pain, the diesel utes kill it for economy towing the big trailer.

    double cab hilux here too,
    3.2 turbo diesal.
i dont know much about turbos but if they weren't meant to tow shit i reckon they wouldn't put them in farm utes.
as for fuel economy i never bothered to take any notice.
i just drive it , fill it up ,, drive it ,,,, fill it up.
    it tows bloody well.

Got an older subaru!!! 96 gt, tows them fine and 4wd helps. Sucks back the gas, but doesn't seem like much is to good on as gas.

Used a landcruiser VX a few times which is good/better on gas, but fuck it's slow.

Buy an old V8. Falcon or Holden. Who cares. They're that cheap, the thousands you'll save will buy shit loads of petrol........and big grins

Oh, I've got a 91 V8 falcon and a 2004 Ford Territory. The old Falcon is heaps better on gas, and much more fun.

yeh one of the biggest complaint we get when costomers come in is shit wouldnt have bought it if i knew it was going to be like this to maintain.
Allways puts a smile on my face we customer rings in and say i have this Subaru and ------ you just know its going to cost.

On the other hand Subaru's are cheap, second hand parts plentifull and cheap, and after you take the engine out pretty easy to work on....Headgasket are only $60 new....
Must have bought /fixed and sold at least a dozen or so the last 2 years.....
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....
